It has great style inside and out and comes well-equipped with technology and convenience features in the cabin. The Sorento has just a few updates for the 2023 model year. A blind-spot monitor now comes standard across the lineup, and the S gains wireless charging. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster now comes in the SX, which also gains some exterior features. Take a look at some details for the 2023 Kia Sorento.

TRIM LEVELS (EXTERIOR)
The entry-level LX has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and heated side exterior mirrors. Step up to the S for 18-inch wheels, black exterior trim elements, a gloss-black rear spoiler, chrome window surrounds, and roof rails, or to the EX for a hands-free liftgate. The X-Line Package adds raised roof rails, dark gray-painted wheels, and silver exterior trim. Choose the SX for the features of the EX with the X-Line Package, or step up to the SX Prestige for power-folding side mirrors.

ENGINE (POWER)
The base engine for the Sorento is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 191 horsepower. It works with Kia's eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available as an option or standard, depending on the trim. An upgraded 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder is available. It generates 281 horsepower and works with a dual-clutch eight-speed automatic transmission.

PERFORMANCE
The Sorento offers a smooth ride, and it's easy to handle and maneuver. The turbo engine is a good upgrade offering quicker acceleration and extra power while keeping the fuel efficiency the same. When equipped with the tow package, the gas engine can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and the turbo four can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

INTERIOR
There's room for up to seven in the Sorento with its three rows of seats. The entry-level trim comes with cloth upholstery and a height-adjustable driver's seat. Simulated leather upholstery comes in the S, which also adds heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The high-end SX Prestige adds leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. You'll get an 8-inch touchscreen in the LX, which also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The S upgrades to a 10.25-inch touchscreen and adds navigation, and you'll get wireless charging in the EX. Step up to the SX Prestige for a 12-speaker Bose stereo system.

SAFETY FEATURES
Every 2023 Kia Sorento comes with forward collision warning with mitigation, a driver attention warning system, and lane-keep assist. The S adds to this with a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Taking another step up to the EX adds adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, along with an upgraded version of the forward collision mitigation system. The top-level SX Prestige has all these safety systems and adds to it with front parking sensors, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and a blind-spot camera with a video of the vehicles in your blind spot.
